Ahead of the final training session before Thursday’s UEFA Europa League tie in Vaduz, head coach Adi Hütter and Swiss international Gelson Fernandes spoke to the media about the latest developments at Eintracht.

Adi Hütter on…

…Kevin Trapp’s arrival: “It’s good for everyone that we’ve reached a decision regarding the goalkeeping position. I’m happy that Kevin is back with us.”

…his expectations ahead of the first leg: “With Young Boys I drew here three times and lost once. I’m expecting a strong opponent, judging by the pictures and videos I’ve seen. I’m up against a familiar face in Milan Gajic, who pulls the strings in midfield. I’m looking forward to the game.”

…his team’s performance levels: “We managed two tight 2-1 wins but were the better team [in both legs against Flora]. They weren’t easy games to play in the middle of pre-season. We take every opponent seriously and have done what was expected of us so far. We need to justify our role as favourites again tomorrow.”

Gelson Fernandes on…

…Trapp’s return: “We had a lot of fun last season. Kevin is just as pleased to have signed for us as we are. We hope to be as successful as last season.”

…the Eagles’ schedule: “We’re looking forward to these games because we know what our aims are and how to achieve them. To reach the group stage we need to beat every opponent. That’s part of our job. A lot of Eintracht fans are going to be here. We want to reach the next round!”

…Thursday’s opponents: “We were promotion rivals during my time at Sion. They had good international players and were well organised. They tend to go up and down between the first and second division. They’re a well-run, tight-knit club and we respect them.”
