"Unbelievable togetherness" - Martin Hinteregger interview
New signing Martin Hinteregger was in the starting line-up against Borussia Dortmund after just one training session with his new team-mates. We caught up with him for his thoughts on his Eagles debut and how he is settling in Frankfurt.
Martin, what did you make of your Eintracht debut against Dortmund last weekend?
"It was certainly unusual to go straight into the starting line-up after just one training session with the team. Everyone helped me to rise to the occasion, so overall it was relatively easy to find my feet in the side after only one day. When you factor in that I'm a left-footer and I was playing in an unfamiliar position on the right side, I think my performance was decent. I grew into the game as it progressed and for me personally it was important to have a good debut."
What are your first impressions of the Eagles now that you've had a full week of training with the team?
"I've only had positive first impressions. Every Eintracht fan can be very proud of this team. There are a lot of different characters in the side, which makes things all the more interesting. That creates an unbelievable sense of togetherness, which I've never experienced in this way before. The last few days have only confirmed that."
