U21 Euro: Defeat for Serbia in opener
In their opening group match of the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, Serbia went down 2-0 to Austria, with Dejan Joveljic an unused substitute.
Serbia went into the match as slight favourites, with this being Austria’s first appearance at the U21 Euro, but the underdogs caused an upset and ran out 2-0 winners.
Luka Jovic played the full 90 minutes, while Eintracht’s new recruit Dejan Joveljic was an unused substitute. The next chance for the Serbians comes on Thursday at 21:00 CET when they take on Germany, who beat Denmark 3-1 in their opening Group B match.
