The national teams containing Frankfurt players were all in goal-scoring mood in Monday’s Euro 2020 qualifiers, with just one exception.

The only Eagle to leave the pitch empty-handed was Taleb Tawatha, whose Israel side lost 4-0 in Poland. The left-back stayed on the bench as his team slipped to their first defeat in four games in qualifying. Frederik Rönnow was also an unused substitute for Denmark, who ran out 5-1 winners over Georgia.
Meanwhile, Austria recorded a 4-1 win over North Macedonia, with Martin Hinteregger playing the full 90 minutes once again, although he scored an own goal in the 18th minute.

Serbia making up ground

Filip Kostic and Luka Jovic played most of the match in Serbia’s comfortable 4-1 victory over Lithuania. Left-winger Kostic was replaced by Andrija Zivkovic after 70 minutes, while future Real Madrid attacker Jovic played 87 minutes and gave his team a 3-0 lead in the 35th minute. Mijat Gacinovic was given a rest.
