Lucas Torró assesses the victory at Freiburg and looks ahead to his first Bundesliga game at the Commerzbank-Arena.

Lucas, you made your Bundesliga debut at the weekend and celebrated a win with the team. How did that feel?
“I’m really pleased that I was able to crown my debut in one of the best leagues in the world with a win. The result was positive for the team and also for me personally. I’m continuing to progress in my integration, my confidence is growing and I feel good.”

How’s the mood in the camp?
“The win at Freiburg obviously did us good; we needed a good result. It’s given us confidence and a release of energy ahead of our first home game. I’ve been told that the atmosphere will be great on Saturday and completely different to the Supercup, so the excitement is huge.”

What are your targets for the season?

“I think it makes sense to concentrate on short-term goals first and foremost. For me, that means preparing as well as possible for the next match and wanting to win. This week we’re all determined to succeed at home to Werder Bremen and we’re working hard towards that at the moment. I’ll try to play my part and give 100 per cent all the time.”
