As part of their preparation for the second season half SGE had arranged for another test match against 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig. The game took place at the training premises at Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt. From the new players Marco Fabián and Szabolsc Hustzi were in the starting line-up, Hustzi - as well as goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky and Makoto Hasebe - played throughout the 90 minutes.

Braunschweig had the better start into the match, their striker Kumbela had some decent scenes in front of the Eintracht goal. At the other end Marco Fabián had a couple of good chances, one resulting from a long range strike from around 20 meters. Braunschweig took the lead though when Correia converted from inside the box after a corner situation (38').

Gacinovic had a couple of good opportunities, fisrt from a Hasebe chip and secondly after a neat through-ball of Alex Meier who by the way had his 33rd birthday.
