Both the club and the player have agreed to a mutual termination of the contract, which was due to expire on 30 June 2020. The 27-year-old Israel international moved to Frankfurt from Maccabi Haifa in summer 2016 and made a total of 30 Bundesliga appearances for the Eagles.

Tawatha also played in the DFB Cup seven times and scored the important opening goal in the semi-final at Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2017, which Eintracht eventually won on penalties to progress to the final.

“We thank Taleb for the last three years and wish him all the best for the future and the next stage of his career,” said Eintracht board member Fredi Bobic.
