Study highlights Eintracht as social media market leader
A comprehensive analysis has shown that Eintracht Frankfurt are the strongest club in the Bundesliga when it comes to social media.
This conclusion has been drawn by NetFederation, who are specialists in digital business communications. The in-depth study looked at six key aspects: presence, growth of individual channels, activity, reach, engagement and content.
Growth was where the long-established Frankfurt club recorded a particularly eye-catching result of 89.7 per cent, which can certainly be attributed in no small measure to the international exploits of the team out on the pitch. The values in the other five categories also go to prove that Eintracht are not merely a successful club in terms of results but one that makes the effort to meet the needs and wishes of its fans, not least when it comes to providing emotionally charged images and videos. The photo of Martin Hinteregger in the arms of a fan after the dramatic penalty shoot-out at Chelsea is just one very telling example of this.
The club obviously has no intention of resting on its laurels when it comes to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube, and its rapidly expanding interactive fan community base will certainly see to that! The Facebook channel alone recently cracked the 700,000 follower barrier (all languages included), while the Instagram channel is currently around the 400,000 mark.
This study is the second of its kind in 2019 after Eintracht were crowned official German social media champions in May for the second time in three years.
