Midfielder Slobodan Medojevic has left Eintracht Frankfurt after three and a half years to join second-division outfit SV Darmstadt 98.

Slobodan Medojevic has left Eintracht to join neighbours SV Darmstadt 98. The 27-year-old has passed his medical with the Lilies and will link up immediately with the Böllenfalltor club. The right-footed midfielder joined the Eagles in the summer of 2014 after gaining Bundesliga experience with top-flight rivals VfL Wolfsburg, but was restricted to just one cameo appearance each in the league and DFB Cup this season.

The DFB Cup final in May 2017 will likely go down as Medojevic’s most memorable outing in a Frankfurt shirt. “After a long, injury-enforced absence, Medo came up trumps for us in Berlin at a time when we were really thin on the ground,” said board member Fredi Bobic. “We thank him for his efforts and loyalty during his time here and wish him all the best.”
