Eintracht Frankfurt started their 2018/19 pre-season schedule on a high note with a 7-1 friendly win away to Offenburger FV, with new signing Nicolai Müller hitting the ground running on his Eagles debut.

As expected, new head coach Adi Hütter's charges were in control of the match from start to finish against the sixth-tier outfit.

Müller strikes twice

Hütter fielded an attacking line-up in a 3-4-3 formation, although no new signings started the match. Offenburg bravely held their own for the first quarter of an hour before Taleb Tawatha opened the floodgates, tapping in the rebound after Daichi Kamada's header came back off the crossbar. The dam was well and truly broken after that, as Mijat Gacinovic doubled Eintracht's advantage shortly afterwards with a finish from Danny Blum's pass, before Max Besuschkow, who returned to the club over the summer, made it 3-0 from the edge of the box. Kamada added another just five minutes later and an own goal from an Offenburg defender gave Eintracht a commanding lead. New signing Müller came off the bench for the second half and hit a brace to round off the 7-1 scoreline.
