Martin Hinteregger signs permanent deal with Eintracht Frankfurt
Martin Hinteregger has joined Eintracht on a permanent basis, with the Austrian signing a deal to keep him at the club until the summer of 2024.
Eintracht Frankfurt will once again be able to count on the services of Martin Hinteregger this season. The Austrian international spent the second half of last term on loan with the Eagles, and FC Augsburg have now agreed to let him join the club on a permanent basis. Hinteregger made the trip to Frankfurt to sign a five-year deal, tying him at the club until 30 June 2024.
"The length of the contract sends out a clear signal of intent – namely that we want to build a squad for the long term," said Eintracht board member Fredi Bobic. "In the second half of last season Martin showed that he would be a real asset to the club."
'I've come to love Eintracht'
"I’ve really come to love Eintracht," said Hinteregger, who will join up with the rest of the squad after today’s match and travel to training camp in Windischgarsten. "The last six months were incredible, and I feel very much at home in Frankfurt, so I’m delighted that the transfer has come off."
