Kevin Trapp: “We believed we could get something here and felt like we dominated the game. Leipzig had three shots on goal and scored two of them. The second goal is unfortunate, I couldn’t close my legs that quickly. We played well today.”

Adi Hütter: “If you look at the whole 90 minutes, we would’ve fully deserved a point. We put in a very tidy performance, which we can be proud of. We played some nice football and controlled the game for large spells. However, we weren’t clinical enough in front of goal, whereas Leipzig made the most of their few chances. Although we weren’t rewarded for our effort, the match gives us some momentum for Thursday.”

Julian Nagelsmann (Leipzig coach):
“It was a very fortunate victory for us – a draw would have been the fair result. After the goal, we played very well for around 20 minutes and after that, everything was happening in front of us. Eintracht largely dominated the game after the break.”
