Eintracht are taking part in the famous pre-season tournament, which is held annually in Biel and Bern, for the very first time. The Eagles face Hütter’s former club Young Boys in their first game on Wednesday evening, before taking on FC Luzern two days later. Both games take place at the Tissot Arena in Biel and kick off at 20:00 CEST.

This is Hütter’s third appearance at the Uhrencup, having guided Young Boys to fourth- and second-place finishes in 2016 and 2017 respectively. The 49-year-old, who knows all about the atmosphere at the Tissot Arena, told EintrachtTV: “First and foremost, I’m really pleased to have been invited. It’s incredibly important to have two competitive friendlies lined up.”

On the prospect of facing his former employers, Hütter added: “I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of friends, familiar faces and former players. The stadium will be nearly sold out and supporters of both teams are looking forward to an exciting game. We want to show ourselves in the best possible light.”
