Hütter: “I was really moved”
Eintracht head coach Adi Hütter and his opposite number Jürgen Henn were both left awestruck by the Eagles’ incredible support during Thursday’s victory over Flora.
Adi Hütter: “We’re pleased to have gone through. That was our objective and we thoroughly deserved to do so at the end of the day. Not everything’s working just yet, of course, but we weren’t expecting it to. That’s why we’ll continue to work hard in Windischgarsten. Huge credit to our fans, they were brilliant again today. For Flora’s players to applaud our fans after such a remarkable battling display was exceptional. I was really moved. I’m now really looking forward to FC Vaduz, although I was a little surprised they got through. I know them very well from my time in Switzerland - the city is only around half an hour from my home. It’ll be an interesting game:”
Jürgen Henn (Flora head coach): “The Eintracht fans were exceptional. We went to thank them after the game because it was the best atmosphere we’ve ever experienced.”
Goncalo Paciencia: “This was the second time I’ve played on my birthday and the second time I’ve scored, which is nice. It was important to reach the next round. We’ve done that and we deserved the win. FC Vaduz will play in a similar way [to Flora] - they’ll fight, fight, fight. It was a step in the right direction today.”
