Following another last-minute win, this time a 2-1 triumph over Werder Bremen, Sébastien Haller described his goal and coach Niko Kovac also gave his assessment of the game.

Sébastien Haller: “Of course I never stopped believing we could still win the game. The team were focussed and gave everything, it wasn’t just me. When the ball comes into the danger area you have to react quickly. There are thoughts racing through your mind and you just try to strike the ball cleanly. As a striker it’s your job to score. We can now go into the international break feeling relaxed.”

Niko Kovac: “Bremen played really well [in the first half]. They were very aggressive and we weren’t in the game at all. In the second half we were the better side and had a number of chances. The result is fortunate but perhaps not completely undeserved on the basis of the second half. It was a tough battle. Credit to Bremen, their tactics were very good and they had a great mentality. I won’t be celebrating wildly. Even though we won, it wasn’t all great.”

Jetro Willems: “I’ve not injured myself badly. I need to be a bit cautious. We had chances this evening but we weren’t confident until the closing stages. It’s important to pick up points. We’re happy that we’ve sent the fans home happy with a late win.”
