Adi Hütter looks ahead to the resumption of the Bundesliga season.

Adi Hütter on…

…training under quarantine this week: “Conditions at the Hotel Lindner were ideal and the staff looked after us fantastically well - the players were very comfortable. The short journey to the training ground was also an advantage. The week has gone quickly and we were able to prepare as well as we possibly can.”

…personnel: “Goncalo Paciencia will miss out after suffering a muscle injury just under 10 days ago. We hope he’ll be available again soon. Marco Russ injured his heel in a training game, but other than that we have a full squad to choose from. Sebastian Rode has also been taking part in training and is available for tomorrow.”

…season objectives: “I’m reluctant to talk about league positions, but as we’re in the final third of the season it would obviously be important to finish in the top half of the table. First of all, though, we have to adjust to the new situation - not just us but all teams. Tomorrow’s a first step towards finding out how we perform in front of empty stands. Everyone has the same problems and opportunities.”

…Borussia Mönchengladbach: “We’ve obviously analysed them. Their last game was at home to Köln behind closed doors. Other than that, it’s difficult to assess what’s happened in the last two months. It’s no different for Gladbach when it comes to analysing us. They’re strong in transition, always get a lot of players in the box, have plenty of pace and are a technically proficient side. That’s why we always need to be on our toes, can’t afford to give them too much space and need to react quickly when we lose possession. Marco Rose knows what we’re capable of too, though. I’m intrigued to see how it pans out tomorrow.”
