Eintracht cruised to a comfortable 7-0 win over FC Wels in a one-sided friendly on Sunday evening.

Goals galore at Eagles’ training camp

Eintracht went into the game against the Austrian third-tier side as comfortable favourites and fully deserved their 7-0 victory. The match played out as expected, with the Eagles picking up from where they left off on the training pitch and turning their dominance into goals. Strikes from Goncalo Paciencia (10’, 21’, 43’), Jonathan de Guzman (31’) and Marc Stendera (40’) gave Adi Hütter’s side a 5-0 half-time lead, before a second-half brace from Dejan Joveljic (64’, 69’) completed the scoring.

The Eagles’ tough pre-season schedule appeared to take its toll late in the game. Hütter’s charges visibly tired as the second half wore on and began giving the ball away cheaply, although the hosts were unable to take advantage. The result was never in doubt, though, and Eintracht can now look forward to Thursday’s UEFA Europa League second qualifying round second leg against FC Flora.
