Eintracht Frankfurt and Marc Stendera terminate contract
Eintracht Frankfurt and Marc Stendera have agreed to part ways, cancelling by mutual consent and with immediate effect the contract that was to have kept the player at the club until 2020.
Born in Kassel, Stendera joined the club's youth academy back in 2010 and signed his first professional contract in 2015. He made his Bundesliga debut on 6 April 2013 at the age of 17 years, three months and 27 days, making him the fifth youngest Bundesliga player of all time.
"A change of scene will do Marc a power of good – he’s still young and has plenty of his career ahead of him," said sporting director Bruno Hübner of the 23-year-old. "We’re sure that a player of his quality will soon find a new team where he will be able to show his true value, and we wish him all the best."
The 2014 U-19 European Championship winner made a total of 89 first-team appearances and scored five goals for Eintracht.
