Eintracht have appointed Andreas Biritz as an additional conditioning coach in response to Markus Murrer’s injury.

Biritz joins the team having recently worked for Austrian Bundesliga side SKN St. Pölten. Prior to that, the 33-year-old worked under Eintracht head coach Adi Hütter for five years at SV Grödig and Young Boys. The appointment of Biritz follows the injury to Markus Murrer, who suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in training last week and will be out for the time being.

“We wish Markus all the best in his recovery,” said sporting director Bruno Hübner. “We’re glad we were able to recruit a real expert in Andreas Biritz, who has also worked with Adi Hütter before and will be able to plug this gap seamlessly.”
