The German Football Federation (DFB) has sanctioned Eintracht Frankfurt with an €18,300 fine due to the use of pyrotechnics during the match away to Union Berlin.

Part of the DFB’s decision was based on the fact that 11 pyrotechnic objects were set alight immediately prior to kick-off, producing smoke that caused the start of the match to be delayed.
