The Eintracht players were put through an intense training session in bitterly cold temperatures on Wednesday morning.

Twelve Eagles players linked up with their respective national teams on Monday, while 12 others stayed behind to work on their fitness on the training pitch adjacent to the Commerzbank-Arena. Among those being put through their paces on Wednesday were five members of Eintracht’s Under-19 squad and fit-again Jonathan de Guzman, who has been sidelined since August with a muscle injury. Almamy Toure, who suffered a thigh injury in the win over Bayer Leverkusen last month, trained on his own before the rest of the squad had begun their session.

Sandhausen friendly

Adi Hütter’s side face Bundesliga 2 outfit SV Sandhausen in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Thursday afternoon (14:00 CET). They will train again on Friday before taking three days off to rest and recuperate.
