Chico Geraldes has returned to parent club Sporting Lisbon, while Deji Beyreuther has moved on loan to Chemnitzer FC.

Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Deji Beyreuther has joined Chemnitzer FC on loan until 30 June 2019. The academy product has been part of the Eagles’ first-team squad since October 2017. “It’s important for young players to get lots of playing time,” said sporting director Bruno Hübner. “That will be possible for Deji in Chemnitz. He has the chance to continue his development there.” Chemnitzer currently compete in the north-east regional league, the fourth tier of German football, where they have a commanding 12-point lead at the top of the table.

Geraldes loan ends

Francisco ‘Chico’ Geraldes has also left the club with immediate effect. The midfielder moved to Frankfurt on loan from Sporting Lisbon in the summer but is now returning to Portugal. “We thank Chico for his efforts, wish him all the best and above all hope that he stays injury-free for the rest of his career,” said Hübner. Geraldes did not make any competitive appearances for the Eagles during his six-month stay, partly due to injury problems.
