The German Football Association (DFB) have suspended David Abraham for two friendly matches following his red card for violent conduct in the Florida Cup.

The Eintracht Frankfurt captain was sent off in the 25th minute of the Eagles’ Florida Cup clash with Flamengo on 12 January. In reaching their verdict on Wednesday, the DFB described the incident involving Abraham as “a moderate case of violent conduct following an unsportsmanlike action against him”.

The 32-year-old will now miss Eintracht’s next two friendlies. The verdict is final.
