Eintracht have secured the services of Carlos Salcedo on a permanent basis, with the Mexican defender signing a contract until 2022.

Eintracht Frankfurt can look forward to building on the defensive services of Carlos Salcedo for the next four seasons after the towering defender signed a deal with the club until 30 June 2022. Salcedo arrived at the club initially on loan from Mexican club Deportivo Guadalajara and previously spent time on loan at Fiorentina.

‘El Titán’ impresses Hübner

“Carlos is a player with real presence,” said Eintracht sporting director Bruno Hübner. “He can open up play and has bounds of strength. He returned to fitness quicker than we expected after his shoulder injury because he worked hard on his recovery – that’s a mark of his professionalism. We’ve managed to tie down an important pillar of our defence.” Salcedo will take part in the World Cup in Russia for Mexico and face Germany in the group stage. The 24-year-old made 20 Bundesliga appearances this season, as well as three in the DFB Cup.
