Back in training and raring to go
The first international break is almost done and dusted, and the next part of the season is ready to get under way, starting with training for most of the squad on Tuesday morning.
After an extra day off on Monday, 21 Eagles – three goalkeepers and 18 outfield players – were back at work on Tuesday. Among those absent were six players still on international duty along with the injured Jonathan de Guzman and Frederik Rönnow, who each trained individually. Simon Falette missed out altogether due to illness.
The rest of the squad certainly looked full of beans, despite the warm late summer weather. The tempo and intensity in the various training exercises remained high throughout the session as the players gear up for the challenges ahead.
SGE have 21 matches to play in all competitions between now and Christmas, with the first of those coming away to FC Augsburg on Saturday.
