Ante Rebic sustained a minor muscle tear in the game against Werder Bremen, while Marco Russ suffered heavy bruising.

Eintracht attacker Ante Rebic is expected to be sidelined for approximately one month after extensive medical examinations revealed he sustained a minor tear in his calf muscle against Werder Bremen on Saturday. Defender Marco Russ' injury is not as serious and he could recover from the heavy bruising to his foot in time to face TSG Hoffenheim on Sunday 8 April (kick-off 18:00 CEST).

Head coach Niko Kovac brought on Marco Fabián for Rebic before half-time after the latter felt a twinge in his calf, and the tactician made another injury-enforced substitution in the 75th minute when Simon Falette took Russ' place in defence.

The Eagles played well in a tough league encounter, but despite showing great determination and fight throughout, ultimately returned home empty-handed following a 2-1 defeat.
