Head coach Adi Hütter hailed the significance of his side's ability to come from behind against Waldhof Mannheim.

Adi Hütter: "It was a great cup tie and both teams battled hard. Credit to Waldhof, who really pushed us here, but also credit to my team for fighting back from 2-0 down and especially after going 3-2 down. That was very, very important. It goes without saying that Ante Rebic is a match-winner."

Sporting director Bruno Hübner: "There were no losers today. Mannheim were excellent and the atmosphere was incredible. We deserved to progress to the next round thanks to our good performance in the second half."

Kevin Trapp: "I wanted to make it to the second round. We knew it wouldn't be easy after seeing the earlier cup games on Friday and Saturday. We shouldn't have made the kind of mistakes we did. We played well in the second half, were a lot better and were also better in the challenges. We didn't let our heads drop.”
