Eintracht met 3. Liga club Wehen Wiesbaden for a friendly last weekend. Mijat Gacinovic and Alex Meier scored to gain a 2-2 draw.

Wiesbaden celebrated its 90th anniversary and also had a fan party as 3. Liga starts next weekend. The Eagles went a goal down early on as Blacha found the back of the net only three minutes into the match. Gacinovic scored the equalizer with a fine individual effort (17') and after the break it went similar. Wiesbaden took the lead shortly after the re-start (Lorenz 47'), Meier made it level again later on (59').

Eintracht manager Nicko Kovac: „The 2-2 equalizer was one of the goals I like as the team created a build-up as we had practised it in training. Defensively we should have mad a few different decisions but you have to see that we only had one designated center back in the squad."

Goal scorer Mijat Gacinovic: "It is going well for me these days and it is great to play on the number 10 position. I like distributing the ball and also going into one-on-ones."

New signing Guillermo Varela: "As a observer it was an interesting match for me. I want to settle in quickly and I am sure it will be an exciting season for me, in a new country and with a new team. It is fantastic to be here."
