The Eagles took away a point from struggling Werder Bremen who avoided relegation with today's draw. De Bruyne (22') and Lakic (51') scored the goals in a tense and entertaining match. Eintracht are still in the driver seat for European competition with next week's home match against VfL Wolfsburg.
Had anybody thought last August that SV Werder Bremenís home clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on the penultimate weekend of the season would be all about one teamís European ambitions and the otherís desperation to avoid relegation, few would have predicted that it would have been the home team fighting for survival.
