The Eagles won the very important match away to Union Berlin 4-0 and stay second in the standings, now five points clear of play-off spot 3. Idrissou (9'), Hoffer (57') and Meier (73' / 89') scored for Eintracht who once again showed a convincing and confident performance.
In this special we look back to a glorious Eintracht era: Anthony Yeboah is one of the all-time SGE heroes, an absolute legend of the team in the 90ies that celebrated ‘Football 2000’ as their style of play was branded back then. This interview with Yeboah was kindly made available by German weekly football magazine 'kicker' (taken frome the series ‘Legendary Legionnaires’).
The Eagles won their home match against Dynamo Dresden 3-0 on Friday evening. The score line was settled in the first half already with Meier’s early opener (3’), an own goal by Schuppan (14’) and Idrissou adding the third (34’). An impressive performance moved Eintracht past Fürth in the standings to go top of the league, at least until the remaining matches are played.
