Eintracht Frankfurt have signed Norwegian defender Vadim Demidov of Spanish La Liga club Real Sociedad, the 25 year old received a three year contract.

The Norway international (15 caps) whose family has Russian roots had spells at Manglerud Star Toppfotball, Hønefoss BK as well as Rosenborg Trondheim. He joined Trondheim in 2008 and during his time there they won the league twice (2009 and 2010) – Demidov featured in 79 matches for them (4 goals).
Real Sociedad signed the central defender in 2011, he has played 40 matches for them – last season he had 20 starts and was taken off the pitch only twice.
Eintracht’s Sporting Director Bruno Hübner was very pleased: “We are glad that negotiations have been successful and that we were able to sign Demidov who is a skillful central defender and also a leader. He is a perfect fit to the team’s profile and the kind of player manager Armin Veh has been asking for.”
