The Eagles have won their 4th test match v 2. Bundesliga team VfR Aalen on Friday as well as their 5th friendly v lower league team FK Pirmasens on Saturday. Both games ended 2-0 to Eintracht.

Last season's Bundesliga 2 top scorer Alex Meier (17 goals) found the back of the net once in each half against VfR Aalen on Friday. Meier's brace guaranteed the 4th test match win for Eintracht, manager Armin Veh made seven changes to the starting line-up over the course of the 90 minutes.

Kittel & Idrissou

Sonny Kittel and Mo Idrissou scored on Saturday against FK Pirmasens to make it five wins out of five pre season friendlies for Eintracht. Youngster Kittel hit home for Eintracht taking the lead after 17 minutes. The Oberliga team (5th division) of Pirmasens were unlucky hitting the woodwork after a free-kick in the second half shortly before Mo Idrissou netted Eintracht's second goal. Nikolov was also in good form and made various saves.

Coming Up

The team has now a couple of days off before returning to training on Tuesday (two sessions). On Wednesday they will play the next test match away to SV Waldhof Mannheim (kick-off 19h CET). On July the 30th they will travel to Feldkirchen in Austria for another 10 day training camp.

And on August 11th Eintracht will play a high profile friendly at home against the Spanish top team of Valencia CF (kick-off at 15.30h CET at the Commerzbank Arena)!
