It was a busy day at the office today for Eintracht Frankfurt. Training officially started again, manager Armin Veh was joined by the media for the first press conference of the season and two new players were presented.

Summer signings: Takashi Inui (left) and Olivier Occean

Japanese midfielder Takashi Inui joins from 2. Bundesliga outfit VfL Bochum. Also the Candian striker Olivier Occean - top scorer last BL2 season with Greuther Frth alongside Eintracht's Alex Meier - was signed (both on a three year contract).

Read statements of manager Armin Veh, Sporting Director Bruno Hbner, CEO Heribert Bruchhagen and the new signings.

Armin Veh: "I have been raving about these two players all season already. Inui is versatile and flexible, and with his intelligence for the game he is one of the best in the league. He will also take the next steps in the Bundesliga and help the team. Occean is a threat in front of the goal but can also hold the ball - we were looking for a player like that. I wouldn't have thought that the deal comes together, he is a real strengthening of the squad and I am very happy that he is with us now. "

"I am altogether pleased with our transfers as we signed players who fit right in and also match our philosophy to show some good football for the fans. But we will not set a season target. Our goal is to perform well and to pick up enough points. I am very positive about the new season.

Takashi Inui: I am looking forward to play in the top flight with Eintracht. I will make use of the opportunity given to me and I will do my best to help the team achieve a good season. The club has shown a great interest in signing me which is an honour. I feel that plenty can be achieved.

Olivier Occean: I am proud to be part of the team and to play Bundesliga football. It is a big challenge which I am very happy about. Hopefully we will have a good season and win many games so that we end up in a decent position in the standings at the end.

Heribert Bruchhagen (CEO): As a promoted team we will start the season with great optimism. We are aware of the great challenge and we will tackle it full of confidence. We hope we will satisfy the great expectations of ourselves, the fans, the sponsors and the whole surroundings. The aim is to return to the position we achieved over the years ahead of the relegation.

Bruno Hbner (Sporting Director): We are glad that weve been able to sign the players the manager wanted in the team. There were tough negotiations and it was not that easy, so we are even more happy with the positive outcome, and I would also like to thank the board for that. Both players have signed three year contracts, valid in both Bundesliga or 2. Bundesliga.
