Day 7: Going out with a bang in Chula Vista
During Eintracht’s USA training camp, we’ll be reporting on the Eagles’ daily activities. Today, David Abraham describes how the team went all out in training in their last full day in Chula Vista.
Yesterday was the last full training day in Chula Vista, and another part of the U.S. Tour is practically behind us. We had five days of intense training under the California sun, building on the base for the upcoming season. But yesterday was something like the crowning conclusion of this camp. First of all, we were quite challenged by our training team. In the morning we hit the gym, then ran on the track. We had to run multiple laps, while at the same time taking breaks to undergo blood tests.
After this exhausting day, there was a huge surprise for us that evening. The famous performance center here in Chula Vista organized a special dinner for the team. Tables were set up directly under the Olympic flame, and we ate delicious Mexican food. It was a perfect ending. Thanks to an unforgettable time in Chula Vista!
What's on the agenda today:
On Thursday, the team is training again on the grounds in Chula Vista. In the early evening, the Eagles fly over to San Francisco, then onto San Jose.
