During Eintracht’s USA tour, we’ll be reporting on the Eagles’ daily activities. Today, Timothy Chandler talks about the importance of this training camp for him and the team’s visit to San Francisco.

No question, this training camp is like none other for me. We are currently on the road in the United States, my country, and the feeling is very special. I see the U.S. flag every day here, a flag that I regularly represent on the national team. Here I feel the very special mentality that emanates from Americans. It’s just incredibly fun to be here.

Especially after days like yesterday. On Saturday we went out to San Francisco. But first we had a tough gym session, followed by training on the pitch. Then, we began our team trip, starting with the impressive Golden Gate Bridge. We visited some other spots in the city before grabbing dinner. Of course, we also celebrated David Abraham’s 31st birthday. The day was great for everybody. These are moments that help bond us as teammates.

Today we’ve got one more training session in San Jose. Then it’s off to our next destination: Columbus, Ohio. I’m looking forward to it!
